Raqs-e Bismil is a new drama serial airing on Hum TV. The star cast includes the very talented Imran Ashraf as Moosa and the absolutely gorgeous Sarah Khan as Zohra. Set in the city life of Karachi, Moosa hails from an extremely orthodox family where his father is a caretaker of a mazaar and a very strictly religious person. The drama started with Moosa’s cousin sister Sakina played by Anooshay Abbasi, eloping with his lover and about to get married in a private setting. Moosa ruins the plan and drags her back home, where she is made to marry Moosa’s younger brother Essa. Heartbroken Sakina curses Moosa to fall in love and not getting his lover.
Zohra, who is a burqa clad young girl crosses path with Moosa in a bus ride where she stands witness for Moosa against a charge of harassing a girl in the bus. Moosa starts falling for Zohra and follows her to her home.
The coming episodes reveal that Zohra is a dancer who is living with other girls under their supervisor named Anna Jee, played by Gul-e-Rana, another promising performer. Moosa keeps following Zohra to her home regularly when one day Zohra takes him to a restaurant and gives him a piece of her mind and asks him to come to a place. When Moosa goes there, she reveals her identity of a dancer, and Moosa loses his control and creates a ruckus on which he gets arrested.
Back home Moosa is betrothed to a girl named Sitara who is the daughter of another religious family friend. Moosa still keeps chasing Zohra and pays Anna Jee money to let him meet Zohra. The story is unfolding beautifully and everyone’s hooked to a new storyline.
