ARY Musik has already begun its endeavors, in shape of its new initiative “The Floor – Live Sessions”, to stabilize the drowning condition of Pakistani music industry that has been affected by the unordered law and order situation and various other factors that impacted on Pakistani economy throughout the decade strongly.
The format of this show is quite simple and it would be on air at 10 P.M PST every Sunday where local music lovers could see their favorite singers performing live and enjoy their performances on the spot. The set of this show has been designed by keeping the main idea of local concerts to give the same feel to attendees and catered with sufficient space for performers to utilize the stage and sing-like-a-free-bird. Danish Khawaja is executive producer and Adil Malik would be managing the show as a senior producer.
“The Floor- Live Sessions” can prove a good step to recall the past memories of Pakistani music industry’s golden days where we had singers and bands like Nazia Hassan, Alamgir, Vital Signs, Strings, Awaz and Junoon. However many other initiatives in this regard have already started by many former singers and related company in which Coke Studio is one of the prominent musical program but its format keep it in the studio limits and does not allow the fans to interact with singers and artistes. The expectations are also very high from this show because the trend of live concert is dying gradually and Pakistani music lovers haven’t attended any live show(s) frequently in last five years due to certain reasons. So all the people, who have great affection to music, are waiting desperately for the next episode of ‘The Floor’ after it had made a great hype with its first episode last Sunday where rising sensation ‘Asim Azhar’ performed on various songs and delighted the audience with his promising voice.
Audience would enjoy the voices of Fuzon, Jal, Zoe Viccaji, Farhan Saeed, Ahmed Jahanzeb, Ali Azmat, Noori and Bilal Khan that will give their performances at “The Floor” every week at 10 P.m only on ARY Musik.
