Pak-Indo relationship has been complex since last couple of months. Indians banned Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood movies, not only that but they have removed songs sung by Pakistani singers from the movies.
Recently Rahat Fateh Ali Khan‘s concert in USA and Canada got cancelled, which was supposed to be in October 2019. The Indian government warned the promoters “In case if you don’t cancel the shows of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and go against the sentiments of Indians, no Indian Artist/ Singer/ dancer/ Anchor, Performer/ Promoter would ever work with you anywhere in the entire world”.
Even after everything they have put Pakistani artists through, Pakistani director Haseeb Hassan still joins hands with Indian producers for an upcoming web series Dhoop Ki Deewar and Ahad Raza Mir along with Sajal Aly are the main lead.
After this news was revealed, Chaudhary Ijaz one of the directors of Pakistani Films raised the point that they should ban the main lead Ahad and Sajal for working in future. Other directors also requested the audience to ban the actors.
Ahad Raza Mir gave his point of view about this issue and said:
“ANY CONFLICT IN THE WORLD IS BAD, IT’S WRONG. [AS AN ARTIST], I FEEL IT’S MY JOB TO REPRESENT MY COUNTRY AND TO CHANGE NEGATIVE CONCEPTS OF PAKISTAN IN PEOPLE’S MINDS. I PUT VALUE ON SHOWING PEOPLE PAKISTAN BY DOING SOMETHING LIKE HAMLET”.
“I FEEL MORE PAKISTANI NOW THAN I EVER HAVE. NO MATTER WHERE I GO NOW — EVEN IF I’M GOING BACK TO CANADA — I’M SEEN AS SOMEONE REPPING PAKISTAN. THIS IS THE GOOD PART OF THE WHOLE FAME THING”.
