This October will mark one year to the launch of AAN TV. The channel was initially inaugurated by the then Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in a ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s Office. The event then was attended by notable government officials, media executives, and representatives from the broadcasting industry.
The then prime minister expressed his confidence in the channel’s potential to provide high-quality family entertainment while promoting the traditions of the country.
The ceremony was attended by the then Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Dr Syed Tauqir Hussain Shah, and other dignitaries. Executives from M Network, the parent company of AAN TV were also present at the event.
It has been a year since the launch button was pressed by the PM, signifying the channel’s commencement of broadcast. Since its inception, AAN TV has aired different projects that not only promote values and rich cultural traditions but also play an instrumental role in preserving and showcasing different aspects of Pakistani society.
The audience has been treated with programs like Ishq Nahin Aasan, Meri Guriya, Meri Betiyaan, Addan, Hostel featuring some of the most versatile talent from the drama industry including Javed Sheikh, Aijaz Aslam, Hiba Bukhari, Arez Ahmed, Laila Wasti, Saniya Shamshad, Mansha Pasha, Junaid Khan, Hina Altaf, Usama Khan, Aiman Zaman Khan and Azfer Rehman to name a few.
Accordingly living up to it’s promise of delivering content highlighting taboos in the society, AAN TV came up with series like Hum 2 Hamaray 100, Aitraaf, and Ab Meri Bari that highlighted the issues in our society in a light manner and were well received by the audience.
Not only this, AAN TV also is pioneer in acclaiming international Iranian content to Pakist ani screens, exemplified by the mesmerizing series “Jeyran”. Additionally, the channel has embraced the global landscape with the airing of “Alparslan,” showcasing its commitment to providing a diverse range of content to its viewers.
Taking a look back on what more AAN TV offered to it’s audience was the First Ever Junior Chef of Pakistan where the kids competed in healthy activities to win the title for the Junior Chef of Pakistan. The show was hosted by the MasterChef Ammara Nauman. The show proved to be a great hit amongst children and their families alike.
Additionally, the channel also launched three telefilms Mera Dil Meri Marzi, Mareez-e-Muhabbat and Heer Majno. The telefilms were well received by the audience and they gathered millions views on AAN TV’s official YouTube channel.
The launch of AAN TV, undoubtedly, marked an important milestone in Pakistan’s media landscape, with the introduction of a new family entertainment channel.
