Pulwama attack impact on Pakistani & Indian showbiz industry

The past week has been all about Pulwama attack. The situation just got worse and more when Indian media started blaming Pakistan for it. This included Ajay Devgan who took advantage of the situation and announced that his next film, Total Dhamaal will not release in Pakistan. Well it was a very wise move, because none of us would even bother to waste money on a film like that. The Indian media banned Pakistani singers and actors working there and so, Salman Khan removed Atif Aslam‘s romantic number from his upcoming film. Also T-series has been taking down all songs by Pakistani singers from their YouTube channel. We wonder what would they do without Atif Aslam and other Pakistani singers that gave life to even the flop movies.

Pulwama attack impact on Pakistani & Indian showbiz

All of this, and we still have Bollywood movies in Pakistani cinemas.

Sources tell that even Sania Mirza has been demanded to be removed as the brand ambassador of Telangana, because she is married to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik.

While all this had been creating news, Pakistanis were busy with PSL 2019, and our dearest Prime Minister Imran Khan, of course, had more important things to look after. And when he did respond to it, he won all our hearts with the bravo statements. He said that if India comes up with any evidence of Pakistan being involved in the attack, we are ready to take the required action, but if they call out for an attack, we will retaliate.

Our stars, on the other hand, also responded to the Indian hateful statements and PM Imran Khan’s reaction just gave them a lot more of enthusiasm.

This included Hamza Ali Abbasi, Shaan Shahid, Mawra Hocane, Faisal Qureshi, Shahid Afridi, and Ali Zafar. Also actress Armeena Khan addressed BBC for headlining the whole matter with “Pakistan warns India against war.” Whereas all Imran Khan offered was dialogue and peace.

Well it’s time we should also stop supporting Indian content in all terms, even the endorsement by Indian celebs for our products. Let’s see where this goes.
