For all those craving to see Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt together on screen, gear up. After the official announcement and Instagram posts of both the actors while shooting for the film, the first trailer of the super starrer Gully Boy is out. And there’s no doubt about the movie being a hit. Well, not just because it casts Ranveer and Alia as leads, but also because it is from one of the biggest film makers in the Bollywood, Zoya and Farhan Akhter, who have given mega hits like Dil Chahta Hai, Rock On, and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in the past.
Recently, the film’s first rap Asli Hip Hop and teaser have been taking rounds on the internet, and every time we hear Ranveer say Apna Time Aayega, we feel it hard!
Talking of the trailer, trust us when we say it gives each one of us goosebumps and the lead characters, truly are relatable. While, Ranveer plays a slum boy Naved Shaikh, forced by his dad to study even though he loves and lives to rap; Alia, playing Sakina, is exactly every girl that has dreams bigger than just getting married. Besides that, Alia is a really possessive and protective girlfriend. And we are sure that there’s more to her character to unfold in the film. There’s also Kalki Koechlin in the supporting role.
The director, Zoya Akhtar reveals that the story is an inspiration from lives of Naezy and Divine, who are local street rappers. The film releases on 14th February 2019, the Valentine’s day this year and we just can’t wait!
