Aamir Khan is being accused for the death of a Mountain Man’s son, Bhagirath who claimed that his wife, Basanti Devi, died because of carelessness and delay in the compensation actor promised to give them but they didn’t receive any of the said amount from him.
In his reality based TV show, Satyamev Jayate season 2, Aamir covered a story focusing the poverty and strict life of Mountain Man, Dasrath Majhi’ family (who is known for paving a 360 km long road throughout the way with a hammer and chisel in his hand). Dasrath’s son and daughter-in-law were residing in a village situated in Bihar and leading a miserable life due to poverty when Aamir approached them in February to cover their story and aired on his show. At that time, he promised them to help them out but didn’t turn back to them.
In an interview to the local NGO, Bhagirath said that he and his wife waited for Aamir’s aid but she died due to illness and he didn’t had even a penny to perform her shradh, death ceremony in Hinduism, and a local trust helped him out to manage the expenses.
