2 States (The Story Of My Marriage) is an upcoming film, directed by Abhishek Varman. The movie stars Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles while Amrita Singh, Ronit Roy, Shiv Kumar Subramaniam and Revathy in supporting roles.
Arjun plays the role of Krish and Alia plays the pivotal role of a beautiful girl Annaya. Coming towards the story line, it is basically a novel which was written by Chetan Bhagat in 2009. The genre of this film is fiction and love. It is a story of a couple who meet somewhere at Ahmedabad and fall in love with each other. Hurdles in their life come when they decide to marry. The problem is that they both belong to different states of India. The boy belongs to Dehli India and is from a Punjabi family. While the girl belongs to Tamil Brahmin family from Chennai. Clash comes in their life when the couple’s parents meet each other.
The film has been shot at Chennai, Dehli and Ahmedabad. The film seems to be full of drama and heavy entertainment. The theatrical trailer of the movie has been already released. According to the latest updates, the film’s trailer has crossed the 1 million mark in less than 24 hours on the popular video sharing site YouTube. The trailer received approximately 12,197 likes which is far a great achievement. The response has been much more better than the films Holiday and Jai Ho. The movie is scheduled to be released on April 18, 2014.
