Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express & Akshay Kumar’s Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again were previously scheduled to release on the same day of Eid (8th August 2013). This clash disappointed many fans and it was also unfavorable for the makers of the movies.
After much thinking Ekta Kapoor producer of OUATIM 2 has now taken a wise decision to postponed the release of her movie by a week. According to the reports, a representation was made by the producers & stakeholders of Chennai Express to Jeetendra requesting him to reconsider the release date of the movie as it was in favour of both the movies.
Release of these big movies on the same day would have caused losses to the makers because of the competition.
Now OUATIM 2 will release on 15th August, Indian Independence Day along with Subhash Ghai’s Kaanchi.
